Flameproof EXFS 100 lightning-protection spark gap for zone 1 (Ex db IIC T6). Lightning current 100 kA (10/350 µs), sparkover voltage ≤1.25 kV, IP67.

Description

The EXFS 100 spark gap provides the connection or indirect earthing of insulated installation elements during a lightning strike, for lightning protection (IEC / NF EN 62305) in explosion-risk zones (zone 1). Compliant with the ATEX directive, it has a design withstanding very high loads. A 1×25 mm² flexible conductor is available as an option; for installation on an insulating kit, the IF1 and IF3 fixing brackets are recommended.

An isolating spark gap to EN/IEC 62561-3, it offers a lightning current (10/350) Iimp of 100 kA (class H), a rated voltage of 250 V (50/60 Hz), an impulse sparkover voltage ≤1.25 kV, a -20 to +60 °C range and an IP67 rating. Gas markings II 2 G Ex db IIC T6 Gb and dust II 2 D Ex tb IIIC T80 °C Db; ATEX (DEKRA 11ATEX0178 X), IECEx, UL and Inmetro approvals. Enclosure 100 mm × Ø45.5 mm, M10 threaded bushing connection.
