Description
This bagged zinc anode is particularly suited to the cathodic protection and earthing of metal structures. It is available in several sizes, bare or pre-backfilled, with adjustable diameter and cable length (red XLPE/PVC cable, U1000 R2V type 1×10 mm²).
The bare anode measures Ø40 mm × 840 mm for 7 kg; in a bag, Ø130 mm × 980 mm. The standard backfill is composed of 75% gypsum, 20% bentonite and 5% sodium sulphate. Electrochemical characteristics: efficiency 90%, capacity 780 Ah/kg, consumption ≈11.2 kg/A·yr, natural open-circuit potential of -1050 to -1100 mV against a Cu/CuSO₄ electrode.
