Description
The MMO tubular anodes 'LIDA® One' apply the single-anode concept: one anode, one cable. The latest addition to the mixed-metal-oxide anode family, they are specially designed for the cathodic protection of buried structures, in installations where a single string-mounted anode is preferred for anode beds in soils with highly variable resistivity. Their MMO coating is specially formulated for use in carbonaceous backfill.
They consist of a 1"-diameter titanium tube coated with precious-metal oxide, forming a crystalline electrically conductive coating that activates the titanium. The consumption rate is extremely low (a few milligrams per year), so the tube dimensions remain nearly constant throughout the calculated service life, permanently ensuring low resistance. Lengthening the anode and reducing the total output open up an even more economical range.
