Description
The tubular anodes consist of titanium tubes coated with a mixed metal oxide (MMO), a crystalline electrically conductive coating that activates the titanium and lets it act as an anode. The consumption rate is extremely low (of the order of a few milligrams per ampere-year), so the tube dimensions remain nearly constant throughout the service life, ensuring a low-resistance anode in the long term.
In soil, fresh water, mud or sea water, the MMO coating shows excellent chemical stability, even at very low pH, without being affected by chlorine evolution. A multi-anode conductor, patented crimped connections and high output current characterise this product, intended for anode beds (deep, shallow vertical, open-hole horizontal) as well as marine, brackish-water, mud and fresh-water environments.
