MMO anode in canister

Description

The wire anode in a canister is the ideal impressed-current anode for shallow vertical and surface horizontal anode beds, as well as for wet or marshy soils liable to collapse. Its main element is an MMO wire anode (precious-metal-oxide coating deposited on a copper-cored titanium wire), perfectly stable and corrosion-insensitive.

The anodic element passes the current into a highly conductive calcined petroleum coke backfill, tightly packed in a galvanised steel canister. The wire anode is electrically connected to the canister to promote moisture migration and conductivity. Applications: buried or above-ground storage tanks, pipelines. Advantages: lightweight, easy to handle and install, it reduces earthworks and drilling costs. Specify cable lengths and types when ordering.
