Stray current generator
Réf. DIP-101
Variable voltage/current generator ±24 V / ±10 A to connect between two buried structures, to simulate stray currents (SNCF, RER, tram) for training and testing.
Description
The stray current generator is part of a set of measuring equipment suited to conditions disturbed by electric traction systems. It is a variable voltage/current generator to be connected between two buried metal structures, intended to carry out tests and train staff on a teaching rig.
It generates variable voltages of ±24 V / ±10 A, driven either by a musical frequency picked up via a built-in microphone (mode 1 rising: 200 Hz → -24 V, 3000 Hz → +24 V; mode 2 falling, reversed), or by a potentiometer to set the output (±24 V fixed, or real recorded rail behaviours of the SNCF, RER or tram type).
