Description
The Exd insulating joints box is a shunting box intended to control cathodic protection interference between parallel or crossing metal pipelines.
It consists of a marine aluminium alloy enclosure (AS10GY30), yellow polyurethane paint RAL 1003, of flameproof type (ATEX zones 1 and 2, EEx 'd'), with stainless steel fasteners and IP66 sealing. The marking complies with standard NF EN 60079-1 and the ATEX directive; the cover is hinged and closed by Allen hex screws. External dimensions: 410 × 300 × 167 mm.
It is fitted with an insulating plate holding 1 EXFS 200 ATEX spark gap, 5 removable copper bars, 1 fixed copper bar, 5 crimp lugs 1 × 16 mm², a Ø3" galvanised steel support tube (1.40 m) and 2 fixing brackets, for mounting on an 80 mm diameter tube.
