Description
MCO® Outerwrap is a special blend of fast-curing resins impregnated into a polyester fabric. It protects coatings needing greater mechanical strength against soil stress and backfilling. Specially designed as a hard, UV-resistant complementary coating over Wax-Tapes (also usable on other coatings), it is sold with gloves and Trenton End Adhesive glue, and is applied by hand with no other equipment.
It is used above and below ground as a mechanical protection coating over Trenton's Wax-Tapes. Application: apply a Trenton coating, then wrap the MCO Outerwrap with just enough tension (to avoid slack) and an overlap of at least 50% — 80% in highly stressed areas such as soil-to-air pipes in clayey soils — extending it past the new coating at both ends for better anchoring.
