CADWELD® Plus exothermic welding: filler metal and ignition in a sealed capsule, no ignition powder. Permanent corrosion-insensitive bond, beyond IEEE 837.
Description
CADWELD® Plus connections offer the same advantages as traditional CADWELD® connections: they withstand repeated fault currents without damage, exceed the requirements of the IEEE 837® standard on the quality of substation earthing connections, and make copper/copper, copper/steel, copper/galvanised or copper-clad steel, copper/bronze/brass, steel/steel bonds, etc. The permanent molecular bond is corrosion-insensitive, with a service life at least equal to that of the installation, requires no external energy and is checked by simple visual inspection.
The CADWELD® Plus system further simplifies the operation: the filler metal and ignition system are contained in a sealed metal capsule, without separate ignition powder, which reduces the installation time and makes learning very fast.
