Sea-water reference electrode (silver or zinc)

Réf. DIP-213

Rugged sea-water reference electrode: 99.90% pure silver (AG20S) for measurement campaigns or permanent installation, or pure zinc for long-term measurements. Estimated 15-year life.

Description

These rugged electrodes offer very good value for money. The AG20S (silver) electrodes are recommended for measurement campaigns on sea-water structures (pontoons, boats, platforms, sea-water tanks…) and can be installed as a permanent electrode. A pure-zinc version also exists: these zinc 'pseudo-electrodes' are used for long-term or fixed-position measurements.

The outer casing is in Acetal with PE nylon (L. 130 mm, 196 mm with PE; Ø24 mm; 60 g without cable), and the bar in 99.90% pure silver (L. 50 mm, 5 × 5 mm section, geometric surface 10 cm² / 500 cm² developed). Performance: +250 mV vs standard hydrogen electrode at 25 °C, stability ±1 mV over 24 h (5 µA load), temperature coefficient -0.65 mV/°C, operating range -5 to +70 °C, estimated service life 15 years.
