PC crossing point (6D+R box)

Description

More than a simple potential test point, the third-party crossing box provides resistive electrical continuity with third-party works that cross the cathodic protection line. An integrated variable resistor gives, when needed, the possibility of attenuating or removing any interference between works.

As an example, the box comprises a rectangular aluminium enclosure, an insulating plate, a variable RBCA-type resistor 10 Ω/100 W, two removable copper bars, 4 stirrup lugs for 16 mm² cable and a Ø2" galvanised steel tube foot (1.20 m, bent at its lower part). It is configurable: variable resistor from 0.1 to 1000 Ω (10 to 200 W), removable or fixed bars, measurement shunt, spark gap and other equipment on request.
