Trojan insulating kits / gaskets
Réf. DIP-230
Trojan sealing gaskets with an elastomer element encapsulated in an insulating carrier (groove 92-94% filled). Reliable sealing at low bolt load. Nitrile, Viton® or PTFE by temperature.
Description
For reliable static sealing, the Trojan gasket is an essential solution. The elastomer sealing element is encapsulated in an electrically insulated carrier, which limits its exposure to aggressive environments, chemicals and corrosive fluids to micro-exposure only. The controlled containment of the elastomer sealing ring within the carrier achieves a 92-94% filled groove.
A constant, controlled sealing pressure is thus obtained without requiring excessive bolt loads; this load reduction allows the use of thinner flanges, with smaller bolt circles and drillings. The most commonly used sealing-element materials are Nitrile® (-50 to +115 °C), Viton® (-59 to +200 °C) and PTFE (-254 to +232 °C).
