APS FFS 'Fire Safe' flange insulating kit: gasket with G-10 epoxy backing and 316 stainless core, dual PTFE + mineral Fire Safe sealing (up to 700 °C). ASME B16.47, ANSI, AWWA, DIN compatible.
Description
The APS FFS flange insulation kits include a Fire Safe insulation gasket made from a glass-fibre-reinforced G-10 epoxy backing, incorporating a 316 stainless steel core. The sealing system combines a pressure-energised spring PTFE seal and a Fire Safe mineral seal.
The kit includes 1 type-F Fire Safe insulation gasket, 4 insulating washers (ASTM F436) and 1 G-10 insulating sleeve per bolt (0.79 mm thick); the AA4 version adds the bolting (rods, nuts, washers). It is compatible with the ASME B16.47 series A, ANSI, AWWA, MSS SP-44, BS 10, DIN 2633/2634 flange standards… Thermal performance: PTFE seal -254 to +232 °C, Fire Safe seal up to 700 °C. G-10 backing: compression 455 MPa, tensile 352 MPa, flexural 448 MPa, dielectric strength 31.5 kV/mm, water absorption 0.04%.
