IP.BD bidirectional pig Ø2" to 48" with four polyurethane discs, for swabbing during hydrostatic testing (water filling and dewatering). Alternative to spheres.
Description
The IP.BD bidirectional pig (Ø2" to 48") has four polyurethane discs, a polyurethane end-protection nose and a towing eye at each end to ease removal. The in-house polyurethane mouldings have exceptional physical properties and chemical resistance, with high wear resistance; the carbon steel body is coated with two layers of anti-corrosion paint. It passes through full-bore and direct-passage valves as well as barred tees: sizes 2"-6" negotiate bends from 3D, 8" and above from 1.5D.
In use, it provides bidirectional swabbing during pipeline hydrostatic testing, allowing both water-filling and dewatering operations. It is an alternative to spheres, which removes the need to fit sphere tees at branches.
