MIC insulator tester (M.C. Miller)
Réf. DIP-162
MIC digital insulation tester (M.C. Miller) with radio-frequency technology for CP: distinguishes insulation short-circuits from interconnected pipelines. Compact, Pass/Fail LEDs.
Description
The MIC is a digital insulation tester designed by M.C. Miller for cathodic protection, distributed by IPSI Solutions. Compact (it fits in the hand), it offers Pass/Fail LEDs for quick readings and a 'Push-To-Test' button that saves the battery. Its radio-frequency technology distinguishes insulation short-circuits from those due to interconnected pipelines.
It evaluates various types and sizes of insulators (flanges, fittings, couplers, unions) and locates shorted bolts, avoiding unnecessary replacements. Its fast touch-probe operation eliminates guesswork and extra equipment and reduces training time. Rugged flame-retardant ABS housing, powered by 2 AA batteries, operating temperature -20 to +55 °C (storage -20 to +35 °C), dimensions 15.8 × 9.1 × 3.8 cm.
